International Agriculture and Natural Resources

Do you ever wonder why hunger is so wide spread in some regions of the world while other areas have overabundant food supplies and epidemic obesity? Are you concerned about how human nutrition needs will be met without the destruction of the tropical rain forests, extinction of species, and global warming? Are you interested in a career in international trade and agribusiness; would you like to work for the UN, the State Department, the World Bank, CARE, or Bread for the World?  Do you want to participate in the scientific research and program development needed to help feed the world's population?  For students seeking answers to these complex issues, the Department of Nutritional Sciences offers a degree program in International Agriculture and Natural Resources. The program combines studies of nutrition with agricultural, natural, and social sciences and augments them with international applications and experience.
