If you have not attended a training on how to use Vary Your Veggies, we suggest you do the following in order to become familiar with the curriuculm:

  1. Download and print the file, How to Use Vary Your Veggies.

  2. Read the Instructions for Educators. Refer to the Screening Tool, Topic Cards, and Evaluation Tally (part of the "How to Use" file) as you read.

  3. Download and print the 3 large pdf files, Precontemplation and Contemplation, Preparation, and Action/Maintenance.

  4. Read through all the lesson plans for each stage. Focus on common characteristics that tailor the messages to that stage.

  6. Go through the lesson plans a second time, sorting them according to topic. Review the lesson plans and handouts for each topic. Note similarities and differences among the different stages for each lesson topic.
