Interdepartmental Graduate Program in Nutritional Sciences


For admission to the Interdepartmental Graduate Program in Nutritional Sciences, a student must have completed a B.S. or B.A. degree in a recognized college or university. A Master's degree is not required for admission to our Ph.D. program. The basic background for the degree program may be provided by an undergraduate degree in nutritional sciences, biochemistry, molecular biology, chemistry, or in one of the biological, medical, or agricultural sciences with a strong complement of basic science courses.

All applicants should have a grade average of B or better, and undergraduate research experience is strongly recommended. Applicants are required to take the Graduate Record Examination and should do so in October or earlier so that the scores will be available by December.
